Contextual Menu plugin to open files in any application
Download FreeOpen 1.0 (StuffIt 5.5 file)
Information
FreeOpen is a freeware Contextual Menu plugin which makes it easy to open documents in any application. Just select the document(s) (or even folders), control-click with the mouse, select FreeOpen from the menu and the application you want from FreeOpen's submenu.
At the top of the submenu are the user customized applications. Below a separator line are all the open applications. Applications can be added to the list by placing aliases of them in a folder called FreeOpen, which must be created inside the Application Support folder, which is in the System Folder. It's that easy.
Current version is 1.0, it's the first released version at the same time.
Screenshot
Here you can see FreeOpen in action. In the FreeOpen submenu, items on above the separator line are aliases added by the user, and items below it are currently open applications.
